Laying the foundations for a £26 million makeover at The World Class Belfry

As part of a £26 Million pound makeover The Belfry Golf Course needed to significantly alter their vehicle access routes, build new pedestrian steps and ramps and lay the foundations for major internal and external alterations.  All of this needed to be completed to a tight Christmas deadline. Thankfully with a lot of teamwork and long days and nights, the whole project was completed in good time.

As four-time host of the Ryder Cup, The Belfry has always been a byword for world-class golf courses and thrilling moments. Now, following a multi-million refurbishment, all of their facilities; meeting rooms, restaurants, bars and spa more than live up to their velvet-smooth greens, with Heming Services Ltd literally laying the foundations for this project as subcontractors to Shaylors Ltd .

The project started with external alterations including; a new roundabout, modified access route and new pedestrian access up to their newly built, grand reception.

This was closely followed by internal alterations including foundations and drainage for the new and luxurious Brabazon Bar, Ryder Grill and brand new reception area.

With the whole project now completed, it is great to have been involved with such a prestigious, deluxe venue that is integral to World Class Golfing history.

Essential to the success of this project and it running to schedule, was the great team effort.  The workforce ranged from 2 men onsite to 25 men onsite towards the end of the project and with many other subcontractors working on their own projects co-ordination, good communication and project management were essential at all times.

“We are extremely proud to have worked with such a great World Class venue as The Belfry Golf Course, and look forward to the opportunity of enjoying our hard work in their Brabazon Bar one day!”
Said Peter Heming, HSL Director.

"I’m proud to have been offered the opportunity to work with one of world’s best sporting establishments and look forward to similar challenges like this in the future”
